In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona superstar Robert Lewandowski heaped admiration on breakout wonderkid Lamine Yamal. Lamine Yamal has had a great season, as he has been one of the Blaugrana’s few bright spots with his entertaining performances.
Yamal has seven goals and eleven assists in all competitions this season, and he has formed an attacking relationship with Robert Lewandowski.
In fact, the youthful wonder assisted the seasoned Pole in his debut against Rayo Vallecano this past weekend.
“Lamine has played very good football this season, he is a crack at only 16 years old,” stated Lewandowski.
“Lamine has a promising future. I have a connection to him. I believe he has improved since the beginning of the season. I see a lot of things now that I didn’t see at first, not only for him, but also for the squad”
Further discussing the youngster, Lewandowski stated that the La Masia graduate still has a long future ahead of him and that his experience can benefit the youngster.
“He wants to play football for ten, twelve, or more years; I have experience and want to help him with his thinking. And for the mentality right now, it is critical to keep your feet on the ground and look long-term.”
