BETTER THAN PEDRO NETO: Liverpool determined to ‘throw everything into the sink’ to acquire top-class Dutch gem

Liverpool is aiming to bolster their attacking lineup in the upcoming transfer window.

According to Ben Jacobs on The Debrief, Liverpool is keen on securing the services of a creative wide player this summer, irrespective of Mohamed Salah’s future plans. Jacobs outlined several potential targets and emphasized that acquiring a new winger is the primary objective for the Reds in the upcoming transfer window.

One of the players on Liverpool’s radar is Crysencio Summerville from Leeds United. Jacobs indicated that Summerville has a higher likelihood of joining Liverpool compared to Pedro Neto when discussing the club’s need for a new wide winger. He mentioned that Liverpool has been in search of a creative wide player as part of their long-term plan, with the uncertainty surrounding Luis Diaz’s future adding to the urgency.

While Summerville has showcased exceptional performances for Leeds United in the Championship this season, Jacobs also highlighted the risks associated with signing the Dutch winger. Despite Summerville’s standout performances, Jacobs cautioned that Liverpool would be taking a gamble by pursuing the Leeds United winger.

He expressed doubts about the feasibility of acquiring Pedro Neto for a reported fee of £80 million, emphasizing the potential challenges involved in securing his signature.

Should Summerville make the move to Anfield this summer, he would undoubtedly face a significant transition from the Championship to a club of Liverpool’s caliber.

While Summerville possesses the potential to excel in the Premier League, it might be prudent for him to acclimate to a higher level of competition before joining a top-tier team like Liverpool.
