**BREAKING NEWS:** Live from Anfield, Liverpool has been urged by a club legend to sign a player reminiscent of Sadio Mane. Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has recommended his former club pursue Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. Carragher likened the Swedish striker to former Reds star Sadio Mane, stating, “If Liverpool can bring Isak to Anfield, they will have one of their best seasons. He’s so good that he reminds me of Sadio Mane. He will turn things around for Liverpool if they can secure his signature.” Liverpool urged to sign Premier League star Alexander Isak.

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has urged his former club to pursue Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, likening the Swedish striker to former Reds star Sadio Mane.

Isak had an impressive 2023-24 season, netting 25 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions for Newcastle. While Arsenal has shown interest in bolstering their attack with Isak, Fowler believes Liverpool should prioritize signing him. Additionally, Fowler mentioned Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins as another excellent potential acquisition. Speaking to Crypto Casino LTD, Fowler said:

“There are two players I would genuinely like to see at the club: Ollie Watkins and Alexander Isak. I think Watkins has just signed a new deal, but I’ve got a lot of time for him and I think he is brilliant. Isak, for me, reminds me of Sadio Mané as well. I don’t want to put ideas in people’s heads, but I think he would be a good fit as well.”

Fowler emphasized that Liverpool still feels the absence of Sadio Mane, and he sees similarities between Mane and Isak’s playing styles. Mane was instrumental in forming a formidable attacking trio with Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah, contributing significantly to Jurgen Klopp’s Champions League and Premier League triumphs.

Regarding Mohamed Salah, Fowler expressed concerns about his performance in the latter half of the 2023-24 season. Despite this, he emphasized the importance of retaining Salah due to his significant contributions to Liverpool’s success over the years. Salah has scored 25 goals and provided 14 assists this season, despite rumors about his future as he enters the final year of his contract. There has been interest from the Middle East, but Fowler insists that Liverpool should keep their star winger. He stated:

“You cannot argue about what Mo (Salah) has done for Liverpool over the years. As with every football club, there are ifs and buts, but we have to remember that he has been injured for pretty much the first time in his career here and that has played a large part in people’s opinions on his future.”

“For me, he has not played well since January, but he’s still scored goals. You have got to keep him, but there will be a point where he has to go. That is the same for a lot of the players at the club currently, and that happens in football.”

“Personally, I want him to stay and I want him to be successful because if he plays to his best then he is world-class and he can help the club win trophies. If he can return to being the player that we know he can, it’s an easy decision.”

Fowler’s comments underscore the need for Liverpool to strengthen their squad by potentially signing players like Isak and Watkins while also recognizing the importance of retaining key players like Salah to maintain the team’s competitive edge.
