Me and my Fiance has fimally concluded on what to do next. It was a hard decision but we have to do it. I will start training with them soon”-Greenwood finally breaks silence as he made his final decisions on playing for Manchester United which shocked the fans who couldn’t believe their eyes.

Mason Greenwood, the forward for Manchester United, has reportedly secured a remarkable transfer away from Old Trafford this summer.

At 22, Greenwood is expected to return to Manchester United in the upcoming weeks following a fruitful loan period at Getafe, a Spanish club where he distinguished himself by netting eight goals and contributing six assists in La Liga. His outstanding performance earned him the club’s Player of the Year award.

Greenwood has not played for Manchester United since January 2022, when he was arrested on charges of attempted rape, controlling behavior, and assault—charges that were later dropped. The player has consistently denied all allegations against him.

Despite United’s recent confirmation that Greenwood remains part of their roster, it appears highly probable that his professional journey will continue elsewhere. Several prominent European clubs have expressed interest in acquiring Greenwood, with Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Borussia Dortmund among the potential candidates. Additionally, reports indicate that two unnamed Premier League clubs are also keen on signing the forward. However, the latest indications suggest that Greenwood is poised to join an Italian club instead.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited by The Metro, Greenwood has already agreed to a proposed move to Juventus, a powerhouse in Serie A. Manchester United is reportedly open to selling Greenwood and has set an asking price between €35-40 million (£30-34 million) for this summer. Juventus is optimistic about negotiating a lower fee and is exploring various advantageous strategies to finalize the deal. One potential approach could involve a player swap, with Samuel Iling-Junior or Federico Chiesa possibly being offered in exchange for Greenwood, who is in the final year of his contract with United.

Greenwood has remained relatively silent about his future plans, although he did express his gratitude to Getafe in a rare public statement following the conclusion of his loan spell. On Instagram, he shared, “Incredibly grateful to the Getafe family and fans for an amazing season. Thank you for making me feel welcomed and one of your own. I enjoyed every second, alongside my teammates and the club. A bittersweet ending, but it was a pleasure to play for you. I wish you all the best.”

Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe commented in April that no definitive decision had been made regarding Greenwood’s future at the club. Ratcliffe had previously hinted that there might be a possibility for Greenwood to return, despite the potential backlash from the supporters. He stated, “We will make a decision, correct. All I can do is talk about the principle of how we will approach decisions like that. Is he the right type of footballer? Are we happy with if he is a good person or not? He’s a Manchester United footballer, so we are in charge of football. So the answer is, ‘Yeah, we have to make decisions.’ It’s quite clear we have to make a decision.”

Ratcliffe emphasized that while Greenwood’s case is significant, it is not the only one the club must address. “There is no decision that’s been made. He’s on loan obviously, but he’s not the only one. We’ve got one or two footballers that we have to deal with and we have to make a decision on, so we will do that,” he added.

As the situation unfolds, it becomes increasingly evident that Greenwood’s career trajectory will likely lead him away from Manchester United, with Juventus emerging as a prominent contender for his signature. The coming weeks will be crucial in determining the final outcome of this transfer saga
