Osimhen is one of the best players in the world, and since joining Napoli for €70 million from Lille in 2020, he has scored 76 goals in 133 games. He scored 31 goals in 39 games for Napoli in the 2017–18 season, which helped them win their first Serie A title in 33 years.
Napoli gave Osimhen a new contract in the fall that keeps him at the Diego Maradona Stadium until 2026, but they have set a €130 million buyout clause for him. Even though they don’t want to lose their star player, they have said they will sell if the price is right.
Conte will have to do a lot of work to rebuild Napoli this summer after their poor title defense. They finished 10th and missed out on playing in Europe.
However, Arsenal is said to want to reach a deal closer to €100 million (£84.3 million).
Manchester City has been the champion of the Premier League for four years, so if Arsenal can sign Osimhen, it will be a big sign that they want to take it away from them. Osimhen is making about €1.5 million a month, which is about £300,000 a week, and he would hope to make at least the same amount at Arsenal.
