Liverpool Are Reportedly ‘Been Interested’ In Signing Bayer Leverkusen Ace Star This Summer And According To Reliable Sources It Say That Player Has Agreed Personal Terms With Liverpool. The Star Right-Back Played A Pivotal Role, Scoring 14 Goals And Registering 12 Assists In 47 Appearances In All Competitions And Liverpool Have Wasted No Time In Getting A Deal Done. Liverpool Intent On Beating Man United To £34m Signing.

Liverpool are reportedly “very interested” in acquiring Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong this summer, according to Sport Bild. Last season, under Xabi Alonso’s management, Leverkusen had a remarkable run, winning the Bundesliga and the DFB Pokal, with Frimpong playing a crucial role by scoring 14 goals and providing 12 assists in 47 matches across all competitions.

Despite Frimpong’s outstanding performances, Leverkusen may be open to selling him as they aim to generate funds for strengthening other areas of their squad. The 23-year-old has a £34 million release clause in his current contract, which has caught Liverpool’s attention. However, they are not alone in their pursuit; Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also interested, though Bayern Munich is currently hesitant to finalize a deal.

Manchester United’s interest in Frimpong dates back to Erik ten Hag’s arrival as manager. It remains uncertain whether they will move forward with a bid, especially after deciding to retain ten Hag despite a disappointing season.

Frimpong is a versatile player, capable of playing anywhere on the right side, but he excels as a right wing-back, lacking the defensive skills needed for a right-back role in a traditional back four. This raises questions about his fit for Liverpool, who do not typically employ a back three system, potentially making him a less suitable option for their squad reinforcement plans this summer.
