BREAKING NEWS ‼️: LIVE FROM FABRIZIO ROMANO VIA STRIKE90MINS CHELSEA HAS SIGN THE DEAL WITH A TEENAGE BARCELONA FORWARD MARC GULU, WHOSE RELEASE CLAUSE WITH THE CATALANS IS JUST €6M. CHELSEA FANS ARE SO DELIGHTED ABOUT THE PLAYER, CAN’T WAIT TO SEE THE SPECIAL FORWARD PLAYER IN STAMFORD BRIDGE

Chelsea have initiated discussions with Barcelona about signing teenage forward Marc Guiu, who has a release clause of just €6 million.

Guiu gained attention in October when he became Barcelona’s youngest and fastest debutant scorer, netting the winner against Athletic Bilbao only 23 seconds after coming off the bench. He added another goal in a Champions League match against Royal Antwerp, ending his breakout season with two goals in seven senior appearances.

According to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague, Chelsea have made an approach for Guiu, who might be available for just €6 million (£5 million). The 18-year-old’s current contract expires in 2025, and Barcelona has struggled to secure him to a new and improved deal. Sevilla is also interested in the young forward.

Guiu was the joint-top scorer at the 2023 U-17 European Championship, alongside club and international teammate Lamine Yamal and Germany’s Paris Brunner and Robert Renak. Observing Yamal, two years his junior, progress into the senior Barcelona and Spain teams, Guiu might consider leaving to further his development.

Chelsea is continuing its strategy of signing emerging talent, having already agreed to a £29 million deal to sign Palmeiras wonderkid Estevao Willian in 2025. Additionally, the Blues are interested in Aston Villa forward Jhon Duran and Atletico Madrid striker Samu Omorodion.
