English football pundit Jamie Carragher sends out a message full criticism to the 25-year-old England and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice and Trent Alexander-Arnold performance after Denmark vs England draw match (1-1) in Euro 2024

Jamie Carragher didn’t like how Trent Alexander-Arnold and Declan Rice played in the first half of England’s Euro 2024 match against Denmark.

Alexander-Arnold and Rice were put back in midfield together, but Carragher said that he thought they were “far too deep” when Denmark had the ball.

The England center backs John Stones and Marc Guehi were told by Carragher to tell Alexander-Arnold and Rice to move forward.

A lot of people had different opinions about putting Alexander-Arnold in midfield before the event because he usually plays right back for Liverpool.

For England’s first two group games, manager Gareth Southgate chose to start Alexander-Arnold in midfield. However, he has other players like Conor Gallagher, Kobbie Mainoo, and Adam Wharton who could play that position.

The ability of Alexander-Arnold to keep his spot in the starting lineup for the whole event by England will be interesting to watch.

Rice has played for England more than 50 times, making him one of the more experienced players on the team; he has earned those caps.

Alexander-Arnold, on the other hand, has had to wait longer for his chances but is now an important player for Southgate’s team.
