Last season, there were instances when it looked like Xabi Alonso could become the manager of Liverpool.
However, that didn’t happen, and Alonso is now focusing on strengthening his Bayer Leverkusen team.
According to Florian Plettenberg, Leverkusen is interested in acquiring Joel Matip from Liverpool as a free agent.
