Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano has lauded Manchester United for successfully signing 18-year-old Leny Yoro, despite facing competition from La Liga champions Real Madrid.
Yoro generated interest from multiple European clubs following a standout 2023/24 season with Lille, where he made 32 appearances in Ligue 1. Although several Premier League clubs were interested, Real Madrid was anticipated to land the young talent.
Yet, Real Madrid hesitated to meet the high transfer fee for Yoro, who was in the last year of his contract. Manchester United took advantage of the situation, pursuing and securing Yoro for around £52 million.
