Manchester United are very close to making their third acquisition of the summer transfer season.

Manchester United is close to finalizing their third summer transfer, with a medical scheduled for Tuesday. The club is nearing the completion of another signing for the summer transfer window. They previously acquired Leny Yoro from Lille for £58.9 million and Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna for £35 million. Erik ten Hag is set to bring in another new player for the 2024/25 season.

The 26-year-old player has made 137 appearances for his previous Dutch club before joining Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022. After two seasons in Germany, he is now expected to move to Manchester United. It seems likely that one defender will come in while another, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, is likely to transfer to West Ham United. Noussair Mazraoui, who previously played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax, is anticipated to join United.

Currently, Man United is in the United States for their pre-season tour. Ten Hag has expressed the need for additional signings to enhance squad depth, emphasizing the importance of finding the right player and managing financial constraints to ensure a strong squad. Santi Aouna reports that Noussair Mazraoui is expected to join Manchester United this summer, with Bayern Munich approving the transfer. The Dutch-born Moroccan international is set to travel to England in the coming days. If all goes as planned, Mazraoui will undergo a medical on Tuesday and, if successful, will sign a contract with United until 2029, with the option for an additional year.
