Recommendations were made for Inter to keep the South American player at the end of last season. Despite his strong performance since the start of the year, he was not retained. Does Alexis Sanchez still have more to offer at the highest level? Share your thoughts in the comments section. Although Sanchez left the team over a decade ago, Udinese is reportedly interested in bringing him back to Friuli.

After joining as a youngster, Sanchez, now 35, spent five years with the Italian club before moving to Barcelona in 2011. He later played for Manchester United and Arsenal in England. Following a stint with Marseille, the Chilean returned to San Siro for a season with Inter Milan. Despite a one-year contract with Inter and being a free agent now, he helped them win Serie A.

There were suggestions that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta might have considered a return for Sanchez before his second stint at Inter. Now, it appears that another former club might be interested in re-signing him.

Sanchez is reportedly evaluating an offer from Udinese. Although details of the contract are unclear, those who remember his previous spell will recall his 21 goals in 112 appearances.

Despite being 35, Sanchez has demonstrated that he can still make a significant impact at the highest level. His performances for Inter Milan, including two goals and five assists in the latter part of last season, highlight his ongoing skill and vision. His crucial role in setting up important goals, such as the late assist for Denzel Dumfries, showcases his value as a playmaker.

While his peak years may be behind him, Sanchez’s experience, technical ability, and footballing acumen remain valuable. If Udinese or another team can manage his playing time effectively and use him in key situations, Sanchez could continue to be a significant asset in competitive leagues.
