After weeks of speculation, Manchester United have finally reached a deal to acquire Bayern Munich’s Noussair Mazzraoui and Matthijs de Ligt.
The extended transfer saga is nearing its end, with an announcement of the players donning the Red Devils’ jersey expected soon. However, it appears Manchester United aren’t finished with their transfer activities yet. They are still focused on bolstering their defense and are fully committed to enhancing the squad this transfer window.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Manchester United are now poised to finalize a deal for Fenerbahce’s left-back Ferdi Kadioglu. The Euro 2024 standout has impressed with his recent performances for Turkey. About a month ago, we reported that Manchester United were leading the race to sign the 24-year-old, having already placed a bid, with the Turkish club seeking approximately £30 million for his transfer this summer.
Kadioglu, primarily a left-back, also demonstrates notable versatility, being capable of playing both in central midfield and as a right-back. His dynamic presence on the left flank adds significant pace to the team.
Currently, Manchester United have Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia for the left-back position, but both players have struggled with persistent injuries over the past year, with Shaw having a history of injury problems.
Given the frequency of these injuries, Erik ten Hag would benefit from having another option. Kadioglu is an intriguing prospect, and securing his transfer could prove advantageous for Manchester United. It remains to be seen if the Turkish international will join Old Trafford before the season commences.
