Barcelona is gearing up for the start of the new season with a match against Valencia in the opening round of the Spanish League at Mestalla Stadium. Flick is hopeful that a win will boost the team’s confidence for the upcoming games.
The injury troubles have begun for Barcelona, as the club has announced that one of its young players will be sidelined for up to three months due to an injury sustained recently. The Catalan club confirmed in an official statement that Dani Rodriguez, a young player, has suffered a hamstring injury and will be out for up to 90 days.
The 19-year-old sustained the injury during Barça Athletic’s last match against Cornia and had to leave the field just 10 minutes after the match started.
Rodriguez underwent medical tests on Wednesday evening, which revealed a posterior muscle injury requiring a three-month recovery period.
