INJURY UPDATE: Savinho’s Fate Revealed After Devastating Debut Injury!

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola offered a positive update regarding Savinho’s injury after the young player had to leave the field during his Premier League debut against Chelsea.

Savinho started the match since Jack Grealish was only able to be on the bench, and Phil Foden, who had just resumed training, was also a substitute. Foden was substituted in at halftime after Savinho suffered an injury.

The 20-year-old made a strong impression, helping Erling Haaland score the opening goal for City. However, he injured his knee towards the end of the first half and needed prolonged treatment before leaving the field. Although he tried to continue after the break, he was unable to proceed.

Post-match, Guardiola was hopeful about Savinho’s recovery. He noted that Savinho experienced some knee discomfort, a recurring issue, and linked it to insufficient preparation and training. Nonetheless, Guardiola was optimistic that Savinho would be ready to play by the next Saturday.
