According to The Sun, if Simons departs PSG, it is anticipated that he will initially move on loan with a mandatory purchase clause.
This approach is partly driven by a significant sell-on fee owed to his former club, PSV Eindhoven, which will be due at the end of 2024.
PSG brought Simons back from PSV in 2023 for a relatively small £5 million ($6.5 million), but his current valuation has risen to over £70 million ($90 million).
At 21, Simons is eager for consistent first-team action, which leaves his future at PSG in question.
Manager Luis Enrique has not yet determined Simons’ role in the squad, especially given the many attacking options available and the potential addition of new players this summer.
If Enrique cannot guarantee him game time, the midfielder is likely to seek a transfer from the Parc des Princes.
