One of the early changes implemented by Ineos was a revamped strategy in the transfer market. The emphasis has now shifted to vital infrastructure projects necessary for Manchester United’s advancement.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe envisions significant plans for the club, including the potential construction of a new stadium with a capacity of 100,000 seats. Efforts to upgrade the Carrington training ground are also underway to meet the standards of a top-tier football club.
Ronaldo had earlier criticized the club’s facilities during a 2022 interview, noting the lack of major improvements between his departure in 2009 and his return in 2021. In a recent conversation with Rio Ferdinand, as reported by The Sun, Ronaldo expressed his support for the enhancements being made by Ineos. He acknowledged that, although Manchester United is one of the world’s leading clubs, it required significant updates.
He pointed out the extensive changes taking place, including improvements in structure, leadership, and infrastructure, specifically mentioning the ongoing upgrades at Carrington. Despite his past dissatisfaction, Ronaldo recognized that some issues are beyond individual control but remained hopeful about the club’s current progress and future prospects.
