A Liverpool defender has received a significant rating increase in EA FC 25.
The widely anticipated sports game will launch in the UK on September 27, with fans eagerly awaiting its release.
Liverpool boasts several highly-rated players, including Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Alisson, who are all popular cards in EA’s Ultimate Team mode.
As the ratings start to be unveiled, it’s confirmed that Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah is set to receive a substantial upgrade in his stats. With the full database now available, Quansah’s rating will increase by +13.
Last year, Quansah was rated just 62 and featured as a bronze card. He will now be rated at 75 as a gold rare card, marking a notable improvement.
The 21-year-old had a standout season during Jurgen Klopp’s final year at Liverpool. Preferred over Ibrahima Konate at times, Quansah made 33 appearances throughout the 2023/24 season and played a key role in Liverpool’s Carabao Cup victory, contributing three assists.
He has also been a consistent presence for England’s Under-21 team, making his debut in October 2023.
Quansah recently shared his ambitions for the season with The Times, expressing his desire to reach the pinnacle of professional football. He said, “It’s always been the goal since I was young. I’ve always wanted to be the best in the world in my position. I’m always striving for that. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. I’m just staying ready for whenever it comes.”
Adapting to the new demands of Liverpool’s manager Arne Slot, Quansah is embracing the upcoming challenges. He noted, “There’s a lot more possession this year, as you can probably see. Last year, we played with a lot of intensity and chaos—what we called organized chaos. This year, there’s a more structured approach to how we build out from the back. Everyone knows their role more clearly, rather than it being a bit more spontaneous.”
