BREAKING: A top player from Liverpool has sustained an injury and will not be able to participate in tonight’s match against Bologna.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has revealed that Diogo Jota missed two training sessions this week after the Reds’ victory over Wolves on Saturday, as a precaution for their upcoming Champions League match.

The Merseyside team secured a 2-1 win against Gary O’Neil’s side in a challenging match at Molineux, putting Slot’s team at the top of the Premier League. However, the situation wasn’t entirely positive as both Andy Robertson and Diogo Jota picked up injuries.

The Athletic reports that the Portuguese forward missed training on Tuesday due to a foot injury sustained during last weekend’s game. This leaves the 27-year-old uncertain for Liverpool’s Champions League encounter with Bologna at Anfield on Wednesday.
