Real Madrid officials are contemplating parting ways with one of the team’s stars due to noticeable weaknesses in his recent performances. The heavy defeat in the Clasico against Barcelona prompted a reassessment of several players, leading to plans for potential departures in the upcoming transfer window.
Reports from the Spanish outlet “Relevo” suggest that the club is open to offers for French midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, as confidence in him has waned. Tchouameni, who joined Real Madrid from Monaco in the summer of 2022 for 80 million euros, initially made a strong impact but has seen a decline in form over the last season and into the current one.
While coach Carlo Ancelotti still supports Tchouameni, club management believes he has struggled defensively and has not met expectations. They also consider him partly responsible for the team’s 4-0 loss to Barcelona. Previously resistant to offers for the player, the club is now willing to sell him if a suitable proposal arises.
