Terrible news has been confirmed for Liverpool fans after tonight’s 1-0 win over Girona.

Liverpool has maintained a long-standing interest in Real Madrid’s Aurelien Tchouameni, and there’s a possibility that the midfielder could join the club in 2025 as part of a player exchange.

The Reds made an attempt to sign Tchouameni in the summer of 2022, but the 24-year-old ultimately chose to move from Monaco to Real Madrid.

Since then, Tchouameni has thrived in Spain and remains a key player in Carlo Ancelotti’s lineup. However, Real Madrid believes they could find a stronger option for the defensive midfield position.

Reports suggest that Real Madrid has been impressed by Ryan Gravenberch’s performances at Liverpool, to the extent that they are considering a move for the Dutchman in the future.

Arne Slot, who currently manages Gravenberch, is unlikely to part with the 22-year-old, given his significance to the team. However, Liverpool’s higher-ups are reportedly open to selling the Dutch talent to Madrid, provided Tchouameni is included in the deal, according to Defensa Central.

Gravenberch joined Liverpool last summer in a £34.2m move from Bayern Munich after struggling to make an impact at the Bundesliga club.

His debut season at Liverpool was slow, and he was not a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s plans. However, under Slot’s guidance, Gravenberch has excelled, playing every Premier League and Champions League match for Liverpool this season with great success.

Given his strong form and Slot’s vision for him, Gravenberch is expected to be a long-term part of Liverpool’s future, making a departure in 2025 highly unlikely unless an extraordinary offer is made.
