**Arsenal Player ‘Agrees Deal to Leave the Club’ with Hours Remaining on Deadline Day**
2 days ago, 03 mins ago
An Arsenal player has reportedly agreed to leave the club with only an hour remaining in the transfer window.
On Sunday afternoon, Arsenal delivered their most impressive performance of the season, defeating defending champions Manchester City 5-1 at the Emirates Stadium. Goals from Martin Ødegaard, Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Havertz, and Ethan Nwaneri secured the commanding win, closing the gap to six points behind league leaders Liverpool.
Despite ongoing injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka, Arsenal has yet to make any first-team signings in the January transfer window.
Amid this, Italian reports claim that midfielder Jorginho has agreed to a pre-contract deal with Flamengo, as his contract with Arsenal is set to expire in June. When asked about his future earlier this month, Jorginho stated, “My contract is until June and my focus right now is on the next match, which is in three days. There’s not much to consider, you know? Things in football change quickly, things can happen overnight, but my mind is on the next game.”
Jorginho also added: “Football is full of surprises, as we all know, but my goal is to concentrate on the next match. I don’t pay attention to it because it always happens. Every transfer window is chaotic, filled with tons of information, rumors, and discussions.
“But if you spend time focusing on all the talk, you end up wasting too much energy and it affects your work where you are. So my goal, as I said, is to focus on where I am, which is here today, so that’s what I’ll do.”
Arsenal will play again on Wednesday night, taking on Newcastle United in the semi-final of the Carabao Cup.
