Erling Haaland’s dad fires savage dig at Arsenal after Man City humiliated at the Emirates

Erling Haaland’s father took to social media after Manchester City’s defeat to Arsenal.

Erling Haaland’s dad took a brutal shot at Arsenal following their 5-1 victory over Manchester City.

Arsenal closed the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool with a dominant win over Man City at the Emirates on Sunday.

Martin Odegaard scored the opening goal, with Haaland equalizing in the second half.

The Gunners responded with four unanswered goals from Thomas Partey, Myles Lewis-Skelly, Kai Havertz, and Ethan Nwaneri.

After the final whistle, Arsenal mocked Haaland, and he had a pointed reply.

During the match, Lewis-Skelly seemed to mock Haaland by copying his goal celebration.

Arsenal shared an image of Lewis-Skelly performing Haaland’s celebration, with the caption: “THIS TEAM.”

Haaland’s dad, Alfie, reacted to Arsenal’s post with a sharp remark.

On X, he posted: “«This Team» that wins everything. Ehhhhh, not.”

Arsenal has yet to secure a Premier League title under Mikel Arteta, who has closely challenged Pep Guardiola in the past two seasons.

They have finished second to Man City in the last two league seasons, as the Blues have clinched four consecutive league titles.

However, a fifth straight title seems unlikely now, with Arsenal trailing Liverpool by 15 points.

After the defeat, Guardiola reflected: “We’re giving away too many things. We’re aware [of this] we talk, and this can happen. But we reacted really well and we played with personality, we defended so well and with the ball we were quite a threat.”

“You have to overcome, you cannot lose control, it’s 90, 95 minutes. You cannot finish in the way we played, we could’ve scored three more but the team has to be stable no matter what happened.”

Man City returns to action next Saturday when they continue their FA Cup journey against Leyton Orient.
