UEFA has unveiled its revised club coefficient standings for the 2024/25 season, with Manchester City maintaining the top spot. These coefficients are used to determine team seedings in UEFA’s club competition draws and are derived from a weighted algorithm based on performances in continental tournaments over the last four seasons. This season’s rankings reflect performances from the 2020/21 season onward.
Real Madrid has ascended to second place after securing their 15th Champions League title, while Bayern Munich and Liverpool are ranked third and fourth, respectively. Roma, recognized for their strong European showings, unexpectedly holds the fifth position. The top ten also includes Paris Saint-Germain, Villarreal, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, and Inter Milan, with Manchester United in 14th place.
Further down, some clubs have achieved surprising yet notable positions. West Ham United, winners of the 2023 Conference League, are 16th, followed by Atletico Madrid in 17th, Barcelona in 18th, and Arsenal in 19th, reflecting their varied results in recent European contests.
One of the most surprising rankings is Tottenham Hotspur at 45th. Spurs missed out on European competitions last season and have made minimal progress in continental tournaments in recent years. They are situated between Olympiacos, the new Conference League champions (44th), and Copenhagen (46th).
