Manchester United and Napoli are reportedly in serious discussions to terminate Victor Osimhen’s loan deal at Galatasaray, with the aim of bringing the in-demand striker to Old Trafford before the transfer window closes.
Manchester United has been actively seeking a reliable goal scorer, with their recent struggles in front of goal underscoring the need to acquire a forward who can deliver consistently. Osimhen, currently loaned to Galatasaray from Napoli, has become a top target due to his outstanding form.
Since moving to Galatasaray, Osimhen has been in excellent form, scoring 12 goals and assisting five times in just 15 appearances across all competitions. His performances have been crucial in Galatasaray’s domestic and European campaigns, demonstrating his capability on major stages.
However, the potential deal involves significant challenges. Osimhen’s loan agreement with Galatasaray means that any transfer to Manchester United would require the approval of all three clubs. Reports suggest that negotiations are focused on ending the existing loan, allowing Manchester United to negotiate directly with Napoli for either a loan or permanent deal.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has previously stated that while a move is possible, it would require activating a release clause in Osimhen’s contract with Napoli and agreeing to a substantial wage offer. Currently, no advanced discussions or concrete agreements have been made.
The possibility of signing Osimhen has generated significant excitement among Manchester United fans, with many taking to social media to express their optimism about the Nigerian striker potentially bolstering their attacking lineup.
