Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane, who has attracted interest from Premier League clubs like Manchester City and Liverpool, has addressed speculation regarding his future.
With his contract running until 2025, there is increasing speculation about a possible transfer next summer.
Despite the reported interest, Sane noted that he is not currently focused on his future. Christian Falk, a Bayern Munich insider, disclosed that Manchester City and Liverpool are both interested in signing Sane in the upcoming summer transfer window. However, Sane is concentrating on the current season and has not engaged in talks about extending his contract with Bayern Munich. He commented, “I haven’t given it any thought yet. The club wants to have talks, but at the moment I want to focus on this season. FC Bayern remains my first point of contact, there’s no doubt about that.” As Sane remains dedicated to his role at Bayern Munich, the question of his potential move to the Premier League remains unresolved until further discussions occur.
Sane has been a key player for Thomas Tuchel’s Bayern Munich this season, contributing nine goals and seven assists in 18 matches across all competitions. As the Bundesliga club looks to keep him, contract negotiations are expected to start soon.
If an agreement cannot be reached, the serious interest from Manchester City and Liverpool offers appealing options for the German international. Both Premier League clubs would view Sane as a valuable addition to their teams.
