According to the Spanish newspaper *Sport*, Barcelona officials are considering including Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong in a trade with Bayern Munich to acquire Joshua Kimmich, a player Bayern’s coach Flick is eager to sign. The report also noted that if Bayern rejects the proposal, Barcelona’s alternative would be to sell De Jong to another club to fund the acquisition of Kimmich.
The newspaper emphasized that De Jong is one of Barcelona’s most valuable players in terms of marketability, and his sale could generate significant funds, especially given Flick’s interest in having him leave.
