At the request of Hansi Flick, Barcelona offers the team’s star to Bayern Munich in a historic swap deal

The management of FC Barcelona is looking to finalize several new agreements this summer to enhance the team during the upcoming transfer window, aiming to make swaps with other European clubs. In recent years, Barcelona has faced significant financial difficulties that have hindered their ability to make notable signings, coupled with the departure of some of their top players.

According to the Spanish newspaper *Sport*, Barcelona officials are considering including Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong in a trade with Bayern Munich to acquire Joshua Kimmich, a player Bayern’s coach Flick is eager to sign. The report also noted that if Bayern rejects the proposal, Barcelona’s alternative would be to sell De Jong to another club to fund the acquisition of Kimmich.

The newspaper emphasized that De Jong is one of Barcelona’s most valuable players in terms of marketability, and his sale could generate significant funds, especially given Flick’s interest in having him leave. Kimmich has attracted attention from numerous European clubs, with Barcelona’s new coach, Hansi Flick, particularly keen on securing him due to his impressive skills and versatility.
