However, Zirkzee was deemed offside, nullifying the goal.
Post-match, Neville criticized Harry Maguire, Noussair Mazraoui, Lisandro Martinez, and Zirkzee. On his podcast, Neville remarked that three of these players were involved in the mistakes leading to Brighton’s goals. He highlighted poor defensive organization after the corner, with players failing to maintain their positions, which allowed too much space at the back post for Pedro’s winning goal. He emphasized the need for better discipline and positioning, especially after set pieces.
