Barcelona legend offers to return to team, Flick responds

Barcelona is aiming to secure one or two top-tier signings before the summer transfer window ends soon, to enhance the team’s capabilities for competing robustly across all competitions this season.

It’s worth noting that Barcelona recently acquired Dani Olmo, the standout Spanish midfielder from German club Leipzig, and successfully registered him as a replacement for the injured Christensen in the final hours.

Journalist Gerard Romero, who is well-connected with Barcelona, reported that Neymar was once again linked to the club this summer. The Brazilian star expressed a desire to return to the team where he enjoyed some of his most successful moments.

However, his wish to rejoin Barcelona faced a major obstacle: Hansi Flick, the German coach spearheading Barcelona’s new sports project, did not want Neymar on his squad, effectively ending any chance of his return. Romero further noted that Flick informed Barcelona officials and Joan Laporta that Neymar was considered “finished” due to numerous injuries and a lack of consistency.
