Mason Greenwood could potentially revive his international career with Jamaica. Recently, Manchester United concluded their association with the 21-year-old, which clarifies Greenwood’s club prospects more than 18 months after his arrest and charges of attempted rape, controlling behavior, and assault.
In February 2023, the Crown Prosecution Service stated that a conviction was unlikely due to the withdrawal of key witnesses and “new material that came to light.” Although Greenwood was not convicted in court, he was not exonerated as he mistakenly claimed in a recent statement. After a six-month internal review, Manchester United chose to assist Greenwood in continuing his career elsewhere. While interest has been expressed by various teams, most prefer a loan arrangement over a permanent transfer, despite Greenwood’s preference for a permanent move.
