LIVERPOOLLiverpool player ‘returns from international break early’ as fans left fearful over potential injury

Liverpool and their new manager Arne Slot could face a setback as the Premier League season resumes. Midfielder Harvey Elliott has cut short his international duty with England U21, raising concerns among fans about a possible injury.

During the ongoing international break, which includes Nations League games for European teams, World Cup qualifiers for South American sides, and Elite League matches for U21 teams in Europe, Elliott has returned to Liverpool for further medical evaluation.

The England U21 team, now under interim manager Ben Futcher, has seen Elliott, along with Omari Hutchinson and Jaden Philogene, withdraw from the squad. The official statement from England mentions Elliott’s return for “further medical treatment,” though no specific injury details were provided.

Elliott has yet to start a Premier League match this season under Slot, with his only appearance being a brief substitution in Liverpool’s win over Brentford.
