The ECHO provided an evaluation of Liverpool’s players after Nottingham Forest secured their first victory at Anfield in over 55 years.
**Alisson Becker – 6**
Had minimal involvement in the first half except for a pass from left-back to Robertson. Was unable to prevent Forest’s goal but made a crucial late save from Elanga.
**Trent Alexander-Arnold – 6**
Delivered a good cross for Mac Allister’s header in the first half but faced defensive challenges. Moved to midfield after an hour but had little impact.
**Ibrahima Konate – 6**
Defended well when required, especially in a confrontation with Gibbs-White. Was substituted later in the match.
**Virgil van Dijk – 6**
Forest’s offensive efforts largely bypassed him, and he was effective in clearing set-pieces. Missed a late header from a corner.
**Andy Robertson – 6**
Faced difficulties against Yates and managed threats on his side. Contributed minimally to attacking play, received a booking, and was substituted.
**Ryan Gravenberch – 7**
Made important contributions early in the game and helped to push Forest back before halftime. Was one of the few players to maintain a solid performance in a lackluster second half. Received a booking.
**Alexis Mac Allister – 6**
Endured some tough tackles from Yates but created a chance for Jota and had a header saved by Sels. Was substituted.
**Mohamed Salah – 5**
Struggled with his touch throughout a frustrating game. Forced a save from Sels in the second half but took several speculative shots, which frustrated the crowd.
**Dominik Szoboszlai – 5**
Had trouble finding his rhythm and made several poor decisions. Improved slightly after halftime but still underperformed. Received a booking.
**Luis Diaz – 6**
Hit the post after keeping the ball in play and won his battle with Aina before halftime. His influence waned in the second half. Was substituted.
**Conor Bradley (replaced Mac Allister 61) – 5**
Initially defended well against Hudson-Odoi but allowed him to score the decisive goal.
**Cody Gakpo (replaced Diaz 61) – 4**
Struggled to get involved in the game and often drifted into central areas without impact.
**Darwin Nunez (replaced Jota 61) – 4**
Looked rusty with poor touch and decision-making. Had little effect on the game.
**Curtis Jones (replaced Konate 75) – 5**
Made his first appearance of the season.
