Liverpool is contemplating the idea of replacing Mo Salah with a former Chelsea player.

Mohamed Salah’s tenure at Liverpool is nearing its conclusion, with his contract set to expire next summer.

As his potential departure approaches, the club’s management is under pressure to identify an appropriate replacement for the Egyptian forward.

Salah has alluded to leaving, suggesting after Liverpool’s 3-0 victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford that this may be his last season with the team. There are rumors of a possible move to a Saudi Pro League club.

Despite being in the latter stages of his career, Salah is still performing well, having netted four goals and provided three assists in the 2024/25 season.

Fans believe he still has a lot to contribute, making his potential exit more challenging for the club.

Recent reports indicate that Salah has accepted a groundbreaking offer from a Saudi club, which could exceed Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr, potentially positioning him among the highest earners in football.

If this transfer occurs, Salah would join a list of prominent players in the Saudi league, including Ronaldo and former Liverpool colleague Sadio Mane, who moved to Al-Nassr in August 2023.

With Salah’s departure imminent, Liverpool is reportedly eyeing AC Milan’s Christian Pulisic as a possible replacement.

Pulisic made a strong impression in Liverpool’s 3-1 Champions League victory over Milan, scoring the opening goal. Since his transfer to Milan, he has showcased his talent, with three goals and two assists this season.

In his debut Serie A season, Pulisic has been effective, although his time at Chelsea was less impactful, where he scored 26 goals in 145 matches before moving to Milan.

While Pulisic represents a promising option, replacing Salah’s influence and goal-scoring prowess will be a significant challenge.

Liverpool’s management may still attempt to persuade Salah to remain, as his performances this season underscore his status as one of the top players globally.

Should Pulisic join the team, he will face the formidable task of filling the void left by one of the Premier League’s all-time greats.
