Former Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho aims to enhance the performance of his Turkish team, Fenerbahce, which has begun the league and was recently knocked out of the Champions League after a 2-1 loss to Lille in the first leg. They are awaiting the return match in Turkey.

In this context, Mourinho is focused on bolstering Fenerbahce’s roster for the upcoming season to challenge Besiktas and Galatasaray in the Turkish League.
According to the “Fichajes” website, Mourinho has targeted two players from Real Madrid’s current squad to elevate his team’s performance: Arda Guler and David Alaba. Mourinho’s interest in Guler, an attacking midfielder who was with Fenerbahce two seasons ago, is not new. He previously attempted to secure him on loan and is now set to negotiate with Perez for his acquisition.
Regarding Alaba, although the Austrian defender is still recovering from a significant knee injury, Mourinho is keen on signing him. Despite Alaba’s contract with Real Madrid extending until 2026, and the impact of Juan Martinez’s injury making it unlikely that Real Madrid will let him go, Mourinho believes Alaba would significantly strengthen Fenerbahce’s defense.
