With just over two weeks remaining in the summer transfer window, Manchester United have more work to do before the August 30 deadline.
Following the signings of Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt, United will be well-covered at center-back once Yoro returns to full fitness, making it essential to consider offloading Victor Lindelof. His contract expires next summer, and it would be beneficial for all parties to find him a new team. Similarly, Christian Eriksen’s contract is also up next summer, and Hannibal Mejbri’s future is uncertain, as both midfielders may struggle to secure consistent minutes this season despite Eriksen’s commitment to remain at the club.
Additionally, United should work to reduce their wide options before the window closes. Facundo Pellistri’s long-term future at the club is uncertain, and Jadon Sancho is still likely to attract a decent fee despite manager Erik ten Hag having reintegrated him earlier this summer.
Manchester United should also consider loaning out some young players in search of regular first-team football, such as goalkeeper Radek Vitek and defender Rhys Bennett.
