DONE’ – FABRIZIO ROMANO SAYS LIVERPOOL HAVE NOW ‘COMPLETED’ LONG-ANTICIPATED DEAL

Fabrizio Romano shared on social media on Wednesday evening that a long-awaited Liverpool deal has finally been finalized. After two months of reporting that Liverpool had agreed on a transfer with Chelsea for the highly-rated teenager Rio Ngumoha, the deal is now officially complete.

Romano posted on X: “Liverpool have finished the Premier League’s 5-step investigation process for Rio Ngumoha’s transfer, confirmed. The 2008-born talent agreed to the move after departing Chelsea, as previously disclosed in June. It’s done.”

The extensive paperwork involved in this transfer has made it a prolonged process, but now that the Premier League’s comprehensive registration process is complete, Liverpool have successfully secured Ngumoha, who is still just 16.

The teenager has been described as a potential ‘huge coup’ by journalist Bence Bocsak, and The Athletic’s James Pearce has also praised his abilities.

Initially, Ngumoha will join Liverpool’s academy, but he will have noted that players like Trey Nyoni, Jayden Danns, and Conor Bradley have made their way to the first team after excelling in youth ranks.

After such a long wait for the transfer to conclude, Liverpool fans will be eagerly watching Ngumoha’s progress on Merseyside and whether he will be approaching a place in the senior squad in the coming years.

The 16-year-old has already received high praise, and it’s hoped that in time, his acquisition from Chelsea will be regarded as one of the most astute moves by Liverpool’s management in recent times.
